The main indication for the use of a picosecond laser is tattoo removal. The Picosecond laser for tattoo removal emits ultra-short energy pulses to the target area to rapidly erase almost all tattoos in fewer treatments than older lasers. The high energy is delivered in an extremely short time and is then absorbed by the ink, where it will shatter its molecules into tiny particles. These microscopic particles are eliminated through the body’s natural processes.
